Our 2-day tour to Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu is becoming one of the most demanded by our clients, as it allows you to spend a night in the city of Machu Picchu, explore the lost city of the Incas and climbs up Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain.
This package is also suitable for those travelers who do not want to climb the mountains but want to spend the night in Machu Picchu city (Aguas Calientes) and visit the lost city of the Incas very early.
The trip begins and ends at your hotel in the city of Cusco. The start and end time of the tour will depend on the time of the train you take.
Itinerary
DAY 1: Journey from Cusco to Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes)
At the appropriate time, our staff and private mobility will pass through your hotel in Cusco and take you to Ollantaytambo or Poroy train station. Upon arrival at Machu Picchu Town, our host will also be waiting to welcome you and escort you to the selected hotel, and the rest of the day you will have free time.
At night, you will meet at your hotel with your professional guide to coordinate the next day’s visit.
You’ll spend the night in Machu Picchu city (Aguas Calientes) at the selected hotel.
Optional Tours for Today
If you want to make a tour today, ask us. We have half day tours through the Sacred Valley, Chinchero Maras Moray, Pisac, and City Tour. At the end of any of these optional tours, we will take you to the Ollantaytambo train station so you can travel in the afternoon to the city of Machu Picchu.
DAY 2: Tour to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain and Inca city of Machu Picchu – Cusco.
Escorted by your professional guide, board the first buses to the archaeological site of Machu Picchu and discover the enigmatic Inca city of Machu Picchu and also take many pictures before the crowd arrives. Then, if you booked one of the mountains, climb on your own and carefully and contemplate the beauty of the landscape.
After all, take the bus to the city of Aguas Calientes for your lunch (El Mapi Restaurant). Later, head to the train station and take the return train to the Ollantaytambo or Poroy station. Upon arrival, our staff and private mobility will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.

What to bring?
- To make the tour to Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu city, you must be at least one day before in the city of Cusco.
- Climb the mountains in the second group, because in the morning they are always cloudy, exclusively in the rainy season (from November to April). Also book at least two months in advance, as they have limited places and when spaces are sold out, we will not have the option to book.

- In general, the weather is very changeable: it is recommended to wear light and warm clothes. Between April and October, it is sunny (use sunscreen or wide-brimmed hat), between November and March it rains torrentially (wears waterproof).
